                God's Adopted Children
YOU HAVE RECIEVED A SPIRIT OF ADOPTION. WHEN WE CRY, "ABBA! FATHER!" IT IS THAT VERY SPIRIT BEARING WITNESS WITH OUR SPIRIT THAT WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD.
                                    -ROMANS 8:15-16 (NRSV)
I can hardly wait until the China goverment puts their final stamp on our adoption. It will grant us full parental rights to a precious child who despratly needs a loving parents. I find myself thinking that we Christians are also adopted; we are the adopted children of God.
Adoption creates a new relationship. An adopted child is granted all the privileges of a natural child, including   inheritance rights. Christ is God's son by nature, but we are God's adopted children by grace.
As I reflect on our adoption process, I give thanks that we are God's adopted children and fully realize our inheritance through Jesus' death and resurrection. Just as surely as my adopted child will be my own, we are God's own. We can take comfort in knowing that our true and lasting home is in the heavenly kingdom of a gracious and loving Father.
God, our Father, help us to open our hearts to your will and to be comforted by your promises. Amen.
Tears of joy, Tears of joy.

There’ll be tears of joy on that awaited Gotcha Day…

We’ve been waiting just for you

The dream is finally coming true

Can’t wait to put our arms around you

On Gotcha day………

In God we Trust

For years they tried to conceive a child

But were unable to succeed.

Their hearts were broken when they found

out that getting pregnant was never to be.

There dreams were crushed when they heard the words

That there’s nothing that can be done.

To reverse the scars that have blocked the path

Where a life would need to have begun.

They wondered why God in heaven

Would not fulfill their plan.

To give them a child to love and to hold

They just could not understand.

But little did they know that God

Was already working on a plan of his own.

He had especially picked them to give

a child a life she may have otherwise never known.

Her Life, It is just beginning

She knows not what’s in store.

She’s was blessed beyond imagination

when left abandoned at an orphanage door.

God knew what he had planned for her

A loving family waiting far away.

Who longed to adopt and love a child

As every day to God they would pray.

Lord if it is within your will,

we cry out for your grace.

To put a child within our arms

to fill the empty space.

Trust in me is what he asked,

My plan is already made for you.

Be patient, love and learn about me

And when its time your dream will come true.

Some day she’ll see where it started from

Their hearts where she was first conceived.

The desire for her life in theirs,

In Gods hands where they were led to believe.

I found a penny today
Just laying on the ground,
But it's not just a penny
This little coin I've found

Angels put them there
That's what my Grandpa told me,
He said Angels toss them down
Oh, how I loved that story.

He said when an Angel misses you
They toss a penny down,
Sometimes just to cheer you up
To make a smile out of your frown

So don't pass by that penny
When you're feeling blue,
It may be a penny from heaven
That an Angel's tossed to you.
